Numerical investigation of the thermal performance of a radiant ceiling cooling panel with segmented concave surfaces

Radiant cooling/heating (RCH) panel systems have recently received increasing attention because of their energy-efficient operation and improved comfort performance. Therefore, this study proposes a novel RCH with segmented concave surfaces. The new has the same surface area as conventional flat panel. A series laboratory tests were conducted to investigate heat transfer characteristics inside chamber equipped Moreover, three-dimensional finite volume simulation was developed transfer, fluid flow, thermal conditions single room proposed panel, results compared those under operating cooling load.
